The Supreme Court will decide whether to let criminals get guns without a background check

On Tuesday, October 8, one day after the justices convene for a new
Supreme Court term, the Court will hear a case that could open up a
massive loophole in US gun laws. The plaintiffs in Garland v. VanDerStok
ask the Court to effectively neutralize a federal law requiring gun
buyers to submit to a background check, as well as a separate law
requiring guns to have a serial number to allow law enforcement to track
firearms.

As the saying goes ‘nothing bad gets rewarded’. Some day a nut job with
deranged thinking will find enough reasons to decent the SC 6 ruling. He
will let the second amendment do the talking. They can’t blame anyone
but themselves.

Trump was so nasty they tried the second amendment on him twice already
for his way out. Third time he might not be so lucky. He needs to pray
very hard for his salvation.

I have some cognitive dissonance around this. Trump and his fans all say
that God saved Trump from that bullet and that God wants Trump to be
dictator and will continue to protect him.

But Trump now has such a heavy glass protector when he speaks that a
number of venues cannot accommodate the weight and he has to go elsewhere.

I guess their God isn't as powerful as they say, or it wasn't really God
who deflected that bullet.
