Woman arrested after traffic violations in school zone,
biting deputy

A Clermont woman was arrested after speeding through a school
zone and other traffic violations on Tuesday.

The deputy witnessed a black Nissan speeding through the
school zone, looking at an iPad, and not driving with a
seatbelt, according to Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

According to PCSO, Alexandre became combative and elbowed
the deputy in the chest as they were taking her into custody.

A detention deputy assisted the deputy sheriff in getting
Alexandre into the center, but Alexandre bit the detention
deputy on the arm and tried to bite him again.
